Electrician – Smoke Alarm Servicing & Maintenance

$85,000–$95,000 base + super + company vehicle + phone

Brisbane | Full time | 38 hours per week | Usual hours 8:30am–4:30pm

Looking for an electrical role focused on residential servicing, with independence throughout your day and minimal ceiling access?

SAS Smoke Alarm Service is looking for a qualified electrician to join our team, inspecting, maintaining and replacing smoke alarms across Brisbane and surrounding areas.

You’ll visit multiple residential properties each day, diagnose faults, complete repairs and record your work accurately. This role suits someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in doing the job properly and communicates well with tenants and property managers.

What’s on offer

- $85,000–$95,000 base salary, depending on relevant experience, plus super.
- Company vehicle and phone provided.
- Full-time employment with a 38-hour working week.
- Usual working hours of 9am–5pm.
- Consistent residential servicing and maintenance work.
- Minimal ceiling access and an autonomous role on the road.

What you’ll do

- Inspect, test and maintain residential smoke alarms.
- Diagnose faults and install or replace alarms and associated components.

- Complete licensed electrical work safely and to the required standard.
- Record explicit inspection results, photos and job information.
- Communicate professionally with tenants, property managers and the office.

Driving between properties is a regular part of the job. You’ll need to be comfortable managing a daily run, working in occupied homes and keeping the office informed when access or technical issues arise. What you’ll bring

- A current Queensland electrical mechanic licence, or eligibility to obtain the appropriate Queensland licence before starting.
- A current driver licence.
- Sound residential electrical and fault-finding skills.
- Reliable time management and a careful approach to safety.
- Clear communication and confidence using a phone or tablet for job reporting.

Smoke-alarm servicing experience is valued. Electricians with broader residential maintenance experience are also encouraged to apply. Interested?

Apply through SEEK with your resume and a brief note about your relevant experience and availability. No lengthy cover letter required.

We’re happy to discuss a start date that works with your notice period.
