Company Description RIBBONS AND ROCKETS EARLY LEARNING CENTRE is an upcoming, state-of-the-art childcare service located near Stockland Mall and Merrylands train station in the Greater Sydney Area. The centre is committed to child safety, high-quality care, and inclusive education for all children. Educators deliver play-based learning programs aligned with the National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Law, and National Regulations.
The service fosters a safe, nurturing, and culturally inclusive environment that respects each child’s identity, language, and family traditions. A strong focus on continuous improvement and collaboration with families supports children to develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Role Description The Educational Leader is a full time, on-site role based in the Greater Sydney Area, responsible for guiding the pedagogical practice and curriculum across the centre. This role involves leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs that reflect the EYLF, NQF, and regulatory requirements.
The Educational
Leader will coach and mentor educators, support reflective practice, and ensure inclusive, play-based learning experiences that cater to diverse needs and abilities. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with families, overseeing documentation and assessment of children’s learning, and promoting child safety and wellbeing in all routines and interactions.
The role also involves contributing to quality improvement plans, supporting compliance with the NSW Department of Education and ACECQA, and fostering a positive, professional team culture.
Qualifications
- Relevant early childhood education qualification (e.g., Bachelor or Diploma in Early Childhood Education) and current certification as required by NSW regulations.
- Demonstrated experience as an Educational Leader or senior educator in an early learning or childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQF, National Law, and National Regulations, and ability to translate these into effective practice.
- Skills in curriculum planning, program evaluation, and reflective practice to support high-quality, play-based learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building partnerships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Proven ability to mentor and coach educators, lead professional conversations, and support ongoing professional development.
- Commitment to child safety, inclusive education, and culturally responsive practice, including working with diverse communities.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with capacity to manage multiple priorities and documentation requirements.
- Current Working With Children Check and first aid, CPR, and anaphylaxis/asthma management certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with educational documentation, observations, and use of digital platforms to record and share children’s learning.
