Troocoo is partnering with a Queensland Government infrastructure delivery organisation to recruit an Electrical Capability Coordinator (ITS & Electrical) to support technical capability across electrical, Intelligent Transport Systems & Electrical (ITS&E;), and civil electrical disciplines.
The Role
Working within a specialist electrical capability and training environment, you will coordinate technical training, competency and capability activities that support the safe delivery of electrical works across operational and project environments.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating technical training and competency activities across electrical, ITS&E; and civil electrical disciplines.
- Maintaining training plans, competency records, learning resources and assessment evidence in line with technical and operational requirements.
- Supporting the ongoing delivery of civil electrical training, including knowledge transfer, training content and practical learning.
- Providing coaching, technical guidance and competency support to apprentices, trainees, electrical workers, supervisors and project managers.
- Supporting continuous improvement of the Electrical Training Centre, including training schedules, competency pathways, technical guidance and succession planning.
- Contributing to a solid culture of electrical safety, technical capability and continuous improvement.
About You To be considered, you must have:
- A current and valid Queensland Electrical Work Licence – Electrical Mechanic.
- A valid C Class Driver Licence.
- The ability to be Gold Coast based
- Strong practical electrical knowledge with the ability to support technical capability, competency and knowledge transfer across operational teams.
Highly regarded experience and qualifications include:
- Experience within civil electrical, road infrastructure, ITS, electrical construction or maintenance environments.
- Experience delivering electrical safety or technical training.
- Experience conducting electrical safety and quality audits and/or supporting workplace investigations.
- Qualifications or demonstrated experience in WHS, auditing or incident investigation.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a current equivalent qualification suitable for delivering and assessing relevant training.

This role must be based on the Gold Coast and requires a current Queensland Electrical Work Licence as an Electrical Mechanic.
