Employment Type: Permanent Part Time

Position Classification: Administration Officer Level 3

Remuneration: $37.27 - $38.44 per hour

Hours Per Week: 20

Location: Blacktown & Mt Druitt Hospitals

Join the Emergency Department teams at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, providing professional, responsive and high-quality administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. - Support busy Emergency Departments across both Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals

- Work closely with nursing, medical, clinical and administrative teams

What you'll be doing

As an Emergency Department Administration Officer, you’ll provide high-level administrative and frontline support, ensuring patients, clinicians and stakeholders receive accurate and timely service.





- Register and update patient information accurately using iPM and FirstNet

- Manage admissions, medical records, data entry and associated documentation

- Provide skilled communication and support to clinical teams and internal and external stakeholders

- Manage cash handling, receipting and daily cash balancing in accordance with LHD procedures

- Provide administrative and switchboard support, including responding to MET calls, codes and alarms when required

1. Extensive experience in an administrative role, with demonstrated experience in exceptional customer service skills the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

2. Demonstrated superior verbal, written, negotiation and interpersonal communication skills and effective communication with all levels of a large organisation.

3. Demonstrated organisational skills with proven ability in accuracy, initiative and flexibility.

4. Demonstrated knowledge and competency in the use of IT applications including Microsoft Office and data information skills.

5.



Ability to work autonomously and actively participate within a multidisciplinary team.

6. Ability to multitask and handle unexpected matters when they arise in a professional & courteous manner

7. Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster
