About TTEG

Trans Tasman Energy Group (TTEG) provides embedded network and electricity on-selling services across Australia, supporting clients with metering, billing, regulatory compliance, and contract management for residential and commercial sites. We're growing our operations team and looking for a detail-oriented Billing Officer to join us at our Fitzroy office.

About the Role

This role is responsible for uploading electricity usage (consumption) data into our billing system and generating accurate, on-time electricity bills for customers across TTEG's embedded network portfolio. You'll be the link between metering data and the invoice a customer receives — accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Import and validate metering/usage data (NMI/Meter-level consumption) into the billing platform for each billing cycle
- Generate and issue electricity bills for embedded network sites in line with scheduled billing runs
- Investigate and resolve data upload errors, high-usage flags, and billing discrepancies before bills are issued
- Liaise with metering data providers and site managers to ensure usage data is complete and delivered on time
- Ensure billing practices comply with relevant regulatory requirements (AER guidelines, embedded network and energy retail rules)




- Maintain accurate customer, site, and meter records within the billing system
- Respond to internal and customer billing enquiries professionally and within service standards
- Support month-end billing reconciliation and reporting

What You'll Bring

- Experience in a billing, metering, or data administration role (energy/utilities or embedded network experience highly regarded, but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data accuracy
- Confidence with Excel and billing or CRM systems
- An understanding of NMIs, metering data, and electricity billing concepts — or a genuine willingness to learn
- Explicit, professional communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams
- Ability to manage recurring deadlines across multiple billing cycles
