About the Role
Working within our Public Health team, you will assist in delivering a range of environmental health programs and compliance activities, including:
- Food safety, public health and environmental compliance
- In office effluent disposal and water quality monitoring
- Infectious disease and nuisance investigations
- Assessing development and building applications
- Conducting inspections, risk assessments and field monitoring
- Providing advice and support to residents, businesses and stakeholders
- Contributing to public health projects and community education initiatives
About you We’re seeking a motivated and community-focused Environmental Health Officer with a focus on public health, customer service and practical problem-solving to guide and inspire positive health outcomes across our community.
You will have
- A qualification in Environmental Health (completed or nearing completion)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Sound organisational and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to delivering positive community outcomes

Salary and Benefits: As per the City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025, based on qualifications and experience.
