Scram Escape Rooms x Prison Island strives to deliver exciting, immersive and magical experiences to our customers. We create themed escape room games for teams to tackle, and we now have 30 ‘prison cell’ challenges for teams to beat. Our escape rooms and ‘prison cells’ are monitored by our friendly staff who are always ready to provide assistance.

GAME MASTER / PRISON GUARD The Game Master or Prison Guards are responsible for ensuring an unforgettably fun and exciting experience for our customers. In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

- Being outgoing, courteous, and engaging with all of our participants.
- Setting up the Escape Room for each current game session and ensuring all props are in proper working order. This often has to be done in a very short time frame between game sessions.
- Greeting participants and instructing them in the rules of the game as well as relating the backstory.
- Being present during game play in a professional and unobtrusive manner while being available to answer questions and give direction where needed.
- Taking payments for bookings (must be confident handling money)
- Tidying and cleaning the Escape Room and all other general areas of the business.
- Keeping track of the inventory of props and ensuring all props in the game area are in working order.
- Keeping track of and organising all other business inventory- cleaning products, drinks,



stationary etc.
- Managing our social media presence and interacting with the public online as well as handling incoming emails/calls.
- Keeping track of online bookings.
- Handing out promotional items (wrist bands, flyers and other items) both onsite and offsite if needed.
- Time management skills to ensure smooth running of multiple games, task completion and general cleaning duties.

Qualities
- Charisma.
- An outgoing and sociable personality who can also fade into the background during game play.
- A flair for theatrics.
- An interest in puzzles and games, even if you aren’t good at them.
- Artistic/creative skills.
- Handy man/woman skills – problem solving.
- Good at working alone or in a team.
- Ability to take initiative.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to stay calm and friendly whilst under pressure.
- Must be able to handle the unexpected as Escape Games and Prison Island is a live event.

Hours: 4-20 hours a week

Our business is mostly conducted on weeknights 5pm-10pm and weekends 9am-midnight.

Experience

Do not need prior experience- just need to be comfortable with public speaking and quick to learn.

If you've played Escape Rooms before that is perfect!
