Behind Closed Doors & Bottom Line

Location: Adelaide | Full-time or Part-time (0.8 FTE) by negotiation | Hybrid

Behind Closed Doors and Bottom Line are looking for an Events & Projects Manager to help us take our membership, programs and events to the next level.

Working closely with our Managing Director and small, dynamic Adelaide-based team, you will play a central role in planning and delivering exceptional events, strengthening member and client relationships, and supporting the special projects that underpin our business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, creative and personable events and project professional who wants genuine variety, direct exposure to an inspiring network of businesswomen and leaders, and the chance to make a tangible impact on the organisation.

About the Role

At the heart of this role is the planning and delivery of outstanding in-person events, from our peer mentoring Groups and networking functions.

You will manage the full events lifecycle including venues, logistics, technology, promotional materials, communications and on-the-day delivery while also gathering and analysing member feedback, producing engaging content and communications, and managing our eDMs.

You will also take ownership of several special projects, including our Women in Business Advisory Program, working closely with our government funding partner to deliver reporting and maintain a solid working relationship.

Key Responsibilities

- Event management: plan, organise and execute in-person events, including venue bookings, logistics, technology setup and promotional materials,

pre-event communications and post-event follow-up.
- Member feedback and insights: conduct member calls, design and distribute surveys, analyse data and prepare actionable reports and recommendations for the team.
- Content creation and marketing support: produce newsletters, promotional materials and event invitations in line with our brand guidelines, and maintain our website and Member Portal.
- Community engagement: act as a point of contact for members and clients, fostering a strong sense of belonging and collaboration.
- eDMs and CRM: develop eDM campaigns via our CRM, produce branded creative assets, and manage our eDM calendar and mailing lists.
- Special projects: own the Women in Business Advisory Program, including member feedback, scheduled reporting and our relationship with the Department for State Development's Office for Small and Family Business.

About You

You are an experienced events and projects professional who thrives on variety, enjoys bringing people together, and takes pride in delivering polished, well-run events and communications.

- Demonstrated experience planning and delivering successful events, end to end
- Strong project management skills,

with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a good eye for brand-aligned content
- Confidence engaging with members, clients, Facilitators and stakeholders at all levels
- Comfort working with survey tools, CRM/eDM platforms (e.g. Wild Apricot), Canva and website/member portal platforms (e.g. Squarespace)
- A proactive, can-do approach and strong team skills, balanced with the ability to work autonomously
- Desirable but not essential: experience in tender or grant writing, or in writing proposals to win new business

A Unique Professional Environment Behind Closed Doors and Bottom Line works with an exceptional community of accomplished women and men in business and leadership. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build genuine professional connections with senior executives, entrepreneurs, Board Directors and leaders across a diverse range of industries and sectors.

For the right person, this offers valuable exposure to an inspiring professional network, real variety across events, content and projects, and the opportunity to help shape our growth as we expand our membership and programs.

Remuneration

$75,000 – $85,000 plus 12% superannuation, commensurate with experience.

How to Apply To apply, please submit your CV and a covering letter to the Managing Director, Donny Walford ([email protected]) by COB Friday 25 September 2026.

Applications will be reviewed as they are received, with suitable candidates invited to interview on a rolling basis.
