The Position

Launch Housing is seeking an accomplished, purpose-driven and commercially astute Executive Director – Housing Solutions to lead the creation, management and long-term performance of housing assets that deliver sustainable outcomes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This is a significant executive opportunity for a leader who combines strong property, development and project management capability with empathy, emotional intelligence and a deep commitment to thriving communities.

Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Executive Director – Housing Solutions will lead a complex portfolio focused on the lifecycle creation and management of property assets. The role will procure, develop, maintain and optimise social and affordable housing assets, ensuring they are high quality, durable, cost-effective and responsive to the needs of renters, partners and communities.

The successful candidate will bring qualifications in business, property, construction management or a related human-centred discipline, together with demonstrable experience in property asset lifecycle management. They will have strong commercial, housing development and project management skills, and ideally experience using government subsidies, property finance or development finance to deliver sustainable housing outcomes.

Launch Housing is seeking a leader who understands resident engagement systems and how to contribute to healthy, safe and connected communities.

Experience in community housing, disability, aged care or adjacent human services sectors will be highly regarded, particularly where it has involved supporting people on low incomes or with complex needs. The role requires high-level relationship management,



negotiation and people skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across government, investment, community and service delivery settings.

As a senior organisational leader, the Executive Director will role model Launch Housing’s values and lead with emotional intelligence, qualified composure and care for both renters and the staff who support them. They will be collaborative, calm and patient, while setting clear expectations, enabling high performance and strengthening the capability of senior leaders across the portfolio.

This role will suit an influential, values-led executive who can operate across strategy, delivery, governance and stakeholder engagagement. They will contribute constructively to whole-of-enterprise decision making as part of the Executive Leadership Team and bring the executive leadership capability required to deliver sustainable housing solutions in a complex and changing environment. Applications are encouraged from executives with relevant experience across property, construction, housing development, asset management, community housing, disability, aged care, social infrastructure, government partnerships or adjacent sectors.
