Executive Producer & Head of Content Full-time | Melbourne | Hybrid Role
She’s on the Money is looking for an experienced, creatively ambitious Executive Producer & Head of Content to lead our editorial and content function.
This is bigger than a traditional podcast producer role.
We’re looking for someone who can see the entire She’s on the Money content ecosystem, from podcasts and video to social, educational content and bigger editorial projects, and help us decide what we should be talking about, how we should tell those stories and how we bring the best ideas to life.
You’ll work closely with founder and host Victoria Devine and a team spanning brand, copy, community, partnerships, growth and production.
We want someone who is deeply curious about what women are talking about, what they care about and what they want to understand next.
Someone who can spot a conversation and immediately start thinking about what it could become.
What you’ll be doing You’ll own the overarching She’s on the Money editorial calendar and content strategy, including:
- Developing monthly and quarterly editorial themes and priorities
- Identifying timely, relevant and culturally interesting topics for our audience
- Developing podcast episodes, video concepts, recurring formats and larger editorial ideas
- Making sure our podcasts, social content, video, community conversations and campaigns feel connected rather than operating in silos
- Working closely with Victoria to turn her expertise, ideas and opinions into great content
- Keeping a finger on what our community is talking about and identifying opportunities for She’s on the Money to join or lead the conversation
You’ll also lead production across the She’s on the Money podcast slate, including Money Diaries, Deep Dives and Friday Drinks.
That means
- Developing episodes and formats
- Researching and briefing topics
- Sourcing and coordinating guests and experts
- Preparing Victoria and contributors for recording
- Managing production timelines and workflows
- Working with our copywriter on scripts and editorial materials
- Working with our post-production team on final delivery
- Continually looking for ways to make our shows better
Video matters here We’re leaning significantly further into video.
You won’t spend your entire week editing Instagram Reels, but you need to understand video well enough to produce it properly.
You should be comfortable directing shoots, filming when required, identifying great moments within long-form content and doing some hands-on editing when needed.
You’ll work closely with our Brand & Creative Lead and our internal Content Producer to turn editorial ideas into platform-native video.
We don’t need a cinematographer.
We need someone who knows what makes good content.
Bigger projects You’ll also help shape projects such as:
- Courses and educational products
- Ebooks and downloadable resources
- Special podcast series
- Research-led content
- New editorial formats
- Live and recorded content projects
You won’t be expected to personally write, design or execute every part of these projects.
Your job is to help shape the idea, build the structure, bring the right people together and drive it forward.
Who we’re looking for You might come from podcasting, digital publishing, radio, media, branded content or video production.
The exact title on your CV matters less to us than how you think.
You’ll probably be a great fit if you:
- Have significant experience producing high-quality editorial content
- Have excellent editorial judgement and strong storytelling instincts
- Can think strategically while still being willing to get your hands dirty
- Understand how an idea can move across podcast, video, social and digital
- Are endlessly curious about audiences and culture
- Can confidently work with talent, guests and experts
- Are brilliant at turning ideas into actual projects
- Can manage multiple moving pieces without creating chaos
- Give excellent briefs and communicate clearly
- Understand hooks, pacing, formats and what keeps people engaged
- Have video production skills and can film and edit when needed
- Take ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do next
- Love working collaboratively with people who are excellent in their own disciplines
Personal finance experience is helpful, but it isn’t essential.
Genuine curiosity about money, work, relationships, property, investing, business and the conversations women are having about them absolutely is.
The outcome Success in this role means She’s on the Money has a clear, connected and consistently excellent content engine.
Our podcasts are getting better, not simply continuing.
Our editorial calendar feels intentional.
The team knows what we’re talking about, what we’re making and why.
Great ideas don't sit in a Slack channel for six months. They become great content.
And Victoria gets to spend more time creating, contributing and being the talent rather than holding every piece of the production process together.
A note about location This role is primarily based in Melbourne and is designed to be highly collaborative and hands-on.
We’re flexible adults and we don’t believe great work requires sitting at a desk from 9 to 5 every day, but this is not designed to be a fully remote role.
Being present for recordings, shoots and collaborative work with Victoria and the team will be an important part of the job.
How to apply Please send an email through to
[email protected] and include:
- Your resume
- A cover letter telling us why you’d love to work at She’s on the Money
- Links to or examples of 2–3 pieces of content you’re particularly proud of, along with a short explanation of the role you played in creating them
Your cover letter matters here.
We’re looking for someone with strong editorial instincts, curiosity and ideas, so this is your opportunity to show us how you think.
A small note before you apply Because this role is all about noticing opportunities and turning ideas into content, we’ve included a couple of small steps in the application process.
First, in the first line of your cover letter, please include the words “What if we..."
It’s a simple way for us to see who has read the carefully.
Second, alongside your resume and cover letter, please answer the following in 250 words or less:
If you joined She’s on the Money tomorrow, what is one conversation, content idea or new format you think we should explore? Tell us why our audience would care about it and how you could see the idea coming to life across more than one platform.
It doesn't need to be a fully developed pitch.
We’re much more interested in your instincts, how you think about audiences and what your brain does when you see a great content chance.
Finally, please include links to 2–3 examples of content you’ve helped create or produce. These could be podcast episodes, videos, campaigns, series, articles, social formats or larger editorial projects.
Please briefly tell us what you actually did on each one. We know great content is usually made by a team, and we want to understand what part was yours.
We can’t wait to read your applications.
Recruiters need not contact us, we’ve got this one.
