Ready to be the heartbeat of our workforce?
Diversicare is looking for a sharp experienced preferably in the aged care/disability sector, people-focused Rosterer/Scheduler to become the go-to person for workforce scheduling and staff coordination across our Community Aged Care service. If you thrive on organised chaos, love problem-solving on the fly, and genuinely enjoy building relationships with staff, this role is for you.
As our Employee Liaison Scheduler, you'll be the central link between our workforce and the clients they support — keeping rosters running smoothly, staff informed and engaged, and operations on track.
What You'll Own
Employee Liaison & Support
- Be the first point of contact for staff on availability, rostering and shift questions
- Keep employee records accurate and current — availability, qualifications and leave
- Support current starters through the rostering side of onboarding
- Proactively communicate roster changes, updates and shift opportunities
Rostering & Coordination
- Build and manage rosters that meet client needs while balancing operational and workforce demands
- Cover a small on-call component (paid) — approximately 1 in 4 weekends — to keep support running when it's needed most
- Build genuine, trust-based relationships with staff that drive engagement and retention
Timesheet & Payroll Coordination
- Reconcile timesheets against rostered hours daily
- Resolve discrepancies with staff and managers quickly and professionally
- Ensure timesheets are approved accurately and on time, every payroll cycle
Systems & Compliance
- Maintain high data integrity across rostering and client management systems (e.g. Sarah Solutions)
- Track staff compliance — certifications, screenings and more
- Generate reports on rostering, attendance and workforce metrics
What You Bring
• Proven experience in high-volume rostering,
scheduling or coordination
- Healthcare, aged care or community services experience (highly desirable)
- Confidence with rostering systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills and the judgement to manage sensitive situations with professionalism
- Sharp organisational skills, time management and an eye for detail
- A cool head under pressure and a knack for practical problem-solving
- Understanding of modern awards and industrial agreements (aged care or community sector a plus)
- Comfort and confidence working across a culturally diverse workforce
