About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive individual to join the Faculty of Health Sciences as Faculty Business Operations Coordinator. You will coordinate operational and administrative functions for the Faculty Office, support a small team and work closely with internal service providers to deliver efficient and responsive services.
This is an opportunity to make your mark, with scope to review existing ways of working, simplify processes and develop efficient, well-documented systems that support consistent service delivery. You will have the opportunity to identify improvements, take initiative and help shape how the Faculty operates.
The successful candidate will bring strong planning, problem-solving and organisational skills, a process-driven approach and the ability to build effective relationships and motivate a small team to achieve positive outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage day-to-day business operations across assigned Faculty areas.
- Build effective relationships with University service functions and Faculty stakeholders.
- Develop and improve business processes to support efficient service delivery.
- Coordinate projects, initiatives and Faculty-wide communications.
- Provide executive support, including reports, briefing papers and committee support.
- Manage operational budgets, reporting and resource allocation.
- Lead and manage the administrative pool, including staffing and performance.
Who we are looking for (selection criteria):
- Advanced interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively consult with a wide range of stakeholders on a range of matters and in a professional and confident manner.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a dynamic and complex setting.
- Developed analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to offer solutions to complex problems.
- Experience managing staff, with the ability to conduct effective work planning and performance review discussions and to foster a work environment of high achievement, continuous improvement, and job satisfaction.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial and budget management.
- High level written communication skills with the ability to prepare high quality reports, briefing papers and correspondence.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working within the higher education sector.
Role Requirements:
1. As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role

This is a full time, fixed term contract until October 2028, with a salary range between $109,277 - $117,331 (G07) per annum, plus 17% superannuation.
