⏰ Hours: Full-time preferred, 0.8 FTE considered
? Salary: SCHADS Level 5 - $105,574-$110,357 + super, depending on experience
We're currently recruiting an Aboriginal Identified Family Violence Practitioner to join a specialist team supporting Aboriginal women and their children experiencing family violence.
The role focuses on providing intensive family violence case management, risk assessment, safety planning and case coordination, while ensuring support is culturally secure, trauma-informed and responsive to the needs of Aboriginal families.
? What you'll be doing
- Providing family violence case management and support to Aboriginal women and children
- Completing risk assessments and developing safety and risk management plans
- Coordinating services and advocating for clients and their children
- Supporting women to improve their safety, stability and wellbeing
- Promoting healthy family functioning and the safety and development of children and young people
- Building strong relationships with Aboriginal clients, community services and other professionals
- Undertaking outreach across the region
⭐ What they're looking for Ideally, you'll have experience working in family violence, including case management and an understanding of the MARAM Framework.
You'll need strong communication and relationship-building skills, a culturally safe and trauma-informed approach, and the ability to work confidently with complex family situations.
A relevant qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Family Violence or a related field is required.
This is an Aboriginal Identified position and applicants must identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
? Location & flexibility The role is based onsite in Croydon South, with outreach required.
There is potential for WFH flexibility after the probationary period.
