FAMILY WORKER - Goulburn (Re-advertised)

Part time - 17.5 hours/week (with extra hours potential)

The Home-Start Family Worker aims to improve the outcomes and wellbeing of families with children 0-8 years in Goulburn and Crookwell. Home-Start works from a family centred and strengths based approach to improve parental confidence and ability to provide a safe, healthy home and start for their children.

The Family Worker provides home or centre-based support to assist families to build on their:

- Parenting and life skills
- Understanding of healthy child development
- Connection through informal and formal support networks
- Knowledge and access to relevant services

whilst supporting a small team of home visiting volunteers. We are looking for people who have:
- Essential:
- Formal tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Welfare, Health or allied areas relevant to this position. (Diploma as minimum requirement)
- Excellent communication, relationship building, and administration skills
- High level computer skills
- Demonstrated experience in supporting vulnerable families
- Demonstrated community sector experience
- Demonstrated experience in preparing workplace documents, reports, and data collection Current NSW driver’s license and is medically fit to drive
- Desirable:




- Knowledge and experience in facilitating parenting programs
- Experience supporting volunteers

Employment wages and conditions will be in accordance with the Social Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award (“SCHADS”) dependant on experience and qualifications. Salary sacrifice is available.
