Our client is a well-established Australian organisation operating within a complex, service-based environment. As the business continues to evolve and grow, they are seeking an experienced finance leader to join the organisation on a 12-month contract .

Responsibilities

As the Finance lead , you will provide strategic financial leadership across the organisation, working closely with senior stakeholders and the existing finance team.

This role is suited to someone who can come into an established environment, assess the current structure and set clear financial strategies and frameworks for the future .

You will be responsible for:

- Developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with business objectives
- Providing commercial financial advice and insight to senior leadership
- Reviewing and strengthening existing financial processes, systems and controls
- Improving financial reporting, forecasting and business intelligence
- Increasing visibility across profitability, cash flow and overall business performance
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial performance and commercial outcomes
- Supporting business growth and organisational transformation
- Providing strategic leadership, direction and capability uplift to the existing finance function
- Establishing clear financial frameworks, processes and reporting structures




- Identifying financial risks and opportunities and providing recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Supporting the business through its next phase of growth and development

Your Profile The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior finance professional who is comfortable operating strategically while also having the ability to understand the detail and drive change.

- Significant experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Head of Finance or similar senior finance leadership position
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
- CPA or CA qualification is essential
- Strong commercial and strategic financial management experience
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing financial strategies
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, governance, controls and performance management
- Experience working within a complex, multi-site, service-based or labour-intensive organisation highly regarded
- Solid leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to assess an existing finance function and implement improved structures, processes and reporting
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide commercial challenge
- Available to commence a 12-month contract
