At MyState and Auswide, we're building a better kind of bank, one that's ambitious, growing, and committed to protecting our customers and communities from fraud, scams, money laundering and financial crime. As we continue to invest in our Customer Protection capability, we're looking for curious, analytical people who want to make a genuine difference through meaningful, high-impact work.
Location: Brisbane, Bundaberg or Hobart.
As a Financial Crime Analyst, you'll be at the frontline of detecting, assessing and investigating financial crime risk.
Working across areas such as fraud and scams, customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, screening and financial crime investigations, you'll analyse customer behaviour, identify unusual activity, investigate potential risks and make evidence-based decisions that help protect both our customers and our business.
No two days are the same. One day you might be reviewing complex transactional activity, the next you're piecing together information from multiple sources to identify emerging risk indicators or escalating a matter for further investigation.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, following the evidence, asking questions and making informed decisions in a quick-moving environment.
What Success Looks Like
You'll Thrive In This Role If You
- Enjoy analysing information and spotting patterns others might miss
- Have a naturally inquisitive mindset and aren't afraid to investigate further
- Can balance customer outcomes with risk and regulatory obligations
- Communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing
- Take pride in producing high-quality work with strong attention to detail
- Are adaptable, resilient and comfortable working in an evolving environment
- Enjoy collaborating with others to solve problems and improve outcomes
Experience in financial crime, fraud, investigations, AML/CTF, compliance, risk, customer operations or another regulated environment will be highly regarded. We're also interested in candidates who bring transferable investigative, analytical or intelligence-gathering skills and are eager to build a career in financial crime. Why Join Us?
This is more than a compliance role.
You'll join a team with a genuine purpose: protecting customers from harm and helping safeguard the integrity of the financial system. You'll have the opportunity to build specialist expertise in a growing area of banking, while being supported through ongoing development, coaching and career pathways across MyState.
Along with meaningful work, you'll enjoy adaptable ways of working where role requirements allow, wellbeing initiatives, employee banking benefits, additional leave options and a culture that encourages you to challenge the status quo, learn continuously and chase better outcomes.
Most importantly, you'll be part of a team that values curiosity, accountability, collaboration and doing the right thing.
Ready to Apply?
If you're looking for a role where your analytical thinking can have a real-world impact, we'd love to hear from you before Tuesday 29th September 2026.
