Keyoak Fire & Safety is a small, family-run WA business with more than 30 years of experience in the fire protection industry.

We’re growing and looking for a Fire Protection Technician to join our team.

We’re not necessarily looking for someone who ticks every box on paper. We’re looking for someone who is switched on, practical, reliable and a team player.

What you’ll be doing

Depending on your experience, your role will include:

- Inspection, testing and servicing of fire protection equipment in alignment with Australian Standards
- Portable fire extinguishers and fire blankets
- Fire hose reels
- Fire hydrants
- Emergency and exit lighting
- Fire doors and other fire protection assets

- Identifying defects and compliance issues

- Troubleshooting problems on site
- Completing service documentation accurately
- Communicating professionally with clients, tenants and site contacts
- Working across a variety of commercial and industrial sites throughout Perth

Who we’re looking for

We want someone who

- Has experience within the fire protection industry or wants to learn the right way
- Preferably has relevant fire protection qualifications or is working towards them
- Has a current Australian driver’s licence
- Is mechanically minded and positive with their hands
- Can problem-solve
- Takes pride in their workmanship
- Notices the little things
- Can communicate confidently with clients
- Is organised and reliable
- Is comfortable working independently




- Knows when to make a decision — and when something genuinely needs to be escalated
- Has a good attitude and can have a laugh along the way

Electrical experience or an electrical background would be a big bonus, but it isn’t essential for the right person. What we’re NOT looking for

Someone who simply wants to race through a service sheet, tick boxes and move on.

Fire protection is about a lot more than stickers and maintenance tags.

We want someone who understands that when something isn’t right, you investigate it, identify it, then outline the solution.
