This is a contract, on-site role for a Flange Management and On-Site Machinist based in Edinburgh North SA. This is a three to six month contract starting in October 2026. Work scope involves installation of 3/4" to 4" pipe work, valves and pumps in ensuring high level safety, efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Key responsibilities
- Installation of 3/4" to 4" pipe work, valves and pumps
- Ensure high level safety, efficiency and compliance with industry standards
- Flange management and controlled bolting
- Operate hand torque wrenches, hydraulic torque wrenches and hydraulic tensioning equipment
- On-site machining using boring bars, flange facers, and milling machines
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues
- Work collaboratively in in office environments and adapt to dynamic work conditions
About you
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with on-site machining tools including boring bars, flange facers, and milling machines
- Proven experience in flange management and construction
- Strong understanding in controlled bolting and flange management
- Experience in hand torque wrenches, hydraulic torque wrenches and hydraulic tensioning
- Mechanical trade qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering, machining, or related field required
- Relevant certifications in mechanical or industrial fields are preferred
- Effective troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Experience in the oil, gas, or energy industries is advantageous
