Fitter – Solar Farm Equipment Maintenance

Location: Site-based (QLD/NSW projects)

Contract work | Competitive hourly rates | Immediate start| FIFO Position

Solmech is a leading renewable energy contractor specialising in large-scale solar farm construction across Australia and Current Zealand. We’re expanding rapidly and are seeking an experienced Fitter to join our team to maintain and service our fleet of machinery and vehicles.

About the Role:

This hands-on role will be responsible for the servicing, repair, and general maintenance of our gear, which includes:

- Company vehicles
- Gayk piling rigs
- Telehandlers
- Skid steers
- Other mobile plant used across our solar farm projects

What We’re Looking For:

- Trade qualification as a Fitter or relevant mechanical experience




- Previous experience working on similar plant and machinery
- Ability to work independently on remote/project-based sites
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Willingness to travel between projects as required
