Crumpets by Merna is a proudly Australian artisan food business producing premium handmade crumpets and English muffins for cafés, restaurants, hotels, retailers and airlines across Australia.

We’re looking for a hands-on, hardworking and dependable Food Production Team Member to join our team at our Caringbah production kitchen.

This is an active, practical role where you’ll be involved in all aspects of our daily production, from cooking and food preparation through to packaging, quality control and keeping the kitchen running smoothly. You’ll work as part of a small team where everyone plays an important role in getting our products made and ready for our customers.

What you’ll be doing

- Preparing and cooking our crumpets and English muffins
- Assisting with food preparation and daily production
- Packaging and preparing finished products for customers
- Checking products to ensure they meet our quality standards
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running efficiently
- Working to daily production requirements and timeframes
- Working both independently and as part of a team
- Assisting with general kitchen and production duties as required

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a positive attitude and can be counted on to get the job done.

You’ll ideally have

- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, bakery or food production environment (preferred)
- Food Safety knowledge
- Good attention to detail
- A solid work ethic and positive attitude




- The ability to follow instructions and work efficiently
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- A genuine interest in producing quality food
- The ability to stay organised and work well in a busy environment
- Comfortable with hands-on, active work
