A mechanical services business is opening a new sheetmetal facility in Perth and needs a driver and yard person to keep the place moving.
This is a recent shop with a team being built from scratch, and a full production programme behind it rather than a short project. Permanent, local, and home every night.
The job is a mix, and no two days are the same:
Delivering finished ductwork and sheetmetal to sites around Perth
Loading and unloading with the forklift, and making sure loads are secured properly
Receiving materials in, checking them against dockets and putting them away
Keeping the yard, racking and material storage tidy and organised
Helping the shop floor when the truck is parked
Working to WHS requirements and site rules
What we need
A current forklift licence, TLILIC0003
A current driver's licence, and tell us what class you hold
Someone who can be trusted to load properly and get to site without being chased
Construction White Card The right to work in Australia on an ongoing basis
Experience delivering to construction sites is an advantage rather than a requirement. If you have driven for a fabrication shop, a steel supplier or a building services contractor before, we would like to hear from you.
The role starts in January 2027.
Pay is $35 to $40 an hour plus superannuation, depending on experience and licence class.
If you want to know more, call Chris on 0468 063 857 or apply here and we will come back to you.
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38.0 per week
