Video Editor - Performance Ad Creative (UGC / Short-Form Video)
No Boring Content · Remote · Freelance / Part-time · Australian business hours
Open to applicants in the Philippines and Southeast Asia The short version
We’re No Boring Content, a creative agency making paid social ads for Australian and US ecommerce brands.
We’re looking for a freelance video editor who knows how to turn creator footage, product shots and B-roll into ads that hold attention and make people want to buy. Someone who understands why the opening matters, when to pick up the pace and how to make a product’s value clear.
You’ll work closely with our creative strategists, turning briefs into finished ads and building variations of the concepts that perform.
This starts freelance/part-time and project-based, with room to grow into a full-time role as demand increases.
What you’d actually do
- Edit short-form paid social ads. UGC, creator-led videos, product demonstrations and B-roll edits for Meta and other social platforms.
- Make the first few seconds count. Build strong openings through footage selection, pacing, sound and on-screen messaging.
- Bring the edit together. Add accurate captions, clean text overlays, music, sound design and motion graphics where they improve the ad.
- Build variations. Take a concept and create different hooks, opening sequences, lengths and calls to action for testing.
- Work from clear briefs and feedback. Collaborate with our strategists, flag anything unclear and turn review notes into precise revisions.
- Keep projects organised. Maintain tidy Premiere projects, file names and versions. Our editors work directly from shared storage so the whole team can access and pick up project files.
What we’re looking for
- A portfolio of short-form ecommerce ads. Show us UGC, B-roll or other paid social work you’ve personally edited.
- Strong Adobe Premiere Pro skills. This is required. We provide the subscription; you bring the proficiency.
- Good judgment about ad creative. You can explain your choices around hooks, pacing, captions and product storytelling.
- Strong written and spoken English. You need to understand briefs, communicate clearly and catch spelling, grammar and caption errors in content for Australian and US audiences.
- Reliable communication and delivery. You keep us updated, meet agreed deadlines and raise issues early.
- Availability during Australian business hours. You can coordinate with the team and agree realistic turnaround times.
- A computer capable of handling the work and reliable internet suitable for editing from shared storage.
Strongly preferred: Experience with Frame.io for feedback and approvals, and LucidLink or comparable shared-storage tools. A plus: Adobe After Effects skills.
Why work with us
- Your edits get tested. Performance results inform what we make next, so you’ll learn which creative choices work.
- Direct access to the team. Work closely with the people writing the briefs and reviewing your edits.
- Room to grow. There’s potential for more consistent hours and a future full-time chance as the workload grows.
Hours and arrangement This is a remote freelance role, starting part-time on a project basis. Hours will vary with client demand, so flexibility matters. We’ll agree availability, workload and deadlines together.
How to apply
Please send
1. Your portfolio link, highlighting 3–5 relevant short-form ads and what you did on each.
2. Two or three lines about your ad-editing experience, particularly UGC and ecommerce performance creative.
3. Your expected hourly rate, including the currency.
4. Your experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Frame.io and LucidLink. Mention all three by name and describe your proficiency. If a tool is new to you, say so and include any comparable tools you’ve used.

Applications missing the software-experience section won’t be shortlisted.
