We're working with a confidential client delivering commissioning services across mission critical data centre projects in Victoria, seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join their commissioning team.

This is an opportunity to work across hyperscale and colocation data centre builds at a time when genuine data centre commissioning experience is in short supply in this market.

What you'll be doing:

n

- Execute Level 1 to Level 5 commissioning activities across electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, ATS/STS and PDUs
n
- Develop and execute test scripts for FAT/FWT, SAT, PFC/FPT and Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
n
- Review and validate SLDs, protection philosophies, cause and effect matrices and commissioning drawings for system readiness
n
- Support electrical design reviews, verifying power distribution architecture, redundancy philosophy (N+1/2N) and equipment interfaces
n




- Prepare and manage commissioning documentation, including Commissioning Plans, ITPs, ITCs and close-out records
n
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants and OEM vendors to resolve issues and hit commissioning milestones
n
- Maintain compliance with Australian Standards and mission critical reliability requirements throughout

What you'll bring:

n

n
- Proven experience in electrical commissioning on data centre or other mission critical infrastructure projects
n
- Robust background in protection systems, relay coordination, SCADA/BMS/EPMS interfaces and redundancy verification
n
- Working towards or holding CPEng highly regarded
n
- Experience with liquid cooling infrastructure commissioning (CDUs, HCUs, manifolds, leak detection) advantageous given the direction of the market
