We are seeking an experienced garden maintenance worker to join the team at Garden Needs.
The role will become a full time position for the right person, based in Somerton Park, SA. As a key member of our gardening & landscaping team, you'll be required to work well with the team, take & respond to instructions whilst having leadership & being able to work independently.
What you'll be doing
- Performing all aspects of garden maintenance, including mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, mulching & fertilising
- Lawn rejuvination ie, scarfying & coring
- Planting & maintaining a variety of plants, shrubs & trees
- Identifying & addressing any pest or disease issues in customer gardens
- Preparation & installation of both natural & synthetic turf
- Maintenance & installation of irrigation systems
- Provide excellent customer service & communicating with clients
- Ensuring a safe & tidy work environment at all times
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years experience in gardening and / or landscaping
- Knowledge of plant & garden maintenance techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Robust attention to detail & a commitment to high quality work
- Positive physical fitness & the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- A valid drivers licence (MR Preferable or willingness to obtain immediately) & reliable transportation
