A Leadership Prospect Grounded in the Homelands
Lead strategic direction and operational delivery for West Arnhem Land Homelands. Oversee housing, construction, civil works, workshops, property, and essential services to turn community priorities into practical regional outcomes.
Duties
- Translate strategic goals into actionable priorities across housing, civil, and maintenance programs
- Build strong relationships with traditional owners, board members, funders, and government partners
- Monitor infrastructure, service, and workforce requirements across 30+ Homelands to guide planning
- Manage program budgets, grant compliance, contracts, procurement, and financial acquittals
- Direct, coach, and support staff to expand career pathways for local Aboriginal employees
The Experience You'll Bring
- Trade, technical, or professional qualification in construction, housing, or civil works
- Proven senior leadership experience overseeing operations, budgets, and grant-funded programs
- Demonstrated experience delivering services within remote or Aboriginal community contexts
- Strong knowledge of WHS, quality standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence, NT Ochre Card, and National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
