We are seeking a General Manager to lead our Exploration Consulting Unit. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the exploration unit’s commercial and financial performance, technical excellence, project delivery, and sustainable growth, with a genuine seat at the table in shaping RSC’s future.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the establishment, and drive the strategic direction, growth plan, and market expansion of the Exploration Consulting Unit.
- Own the unit’s commercial and financial performance, and provide technical and commercial advice to the Managing Director and senior leadership team.
- Ensure exploration and fieldwork are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest technical standard, with Competent Person or Qualified Person sign-off (or delegation) under JORC, NI 43-101, and equivalent codes.
- Build enduring client relationships and partner with Business Development to grow the project pipeline, enter priority markets, and unlock cross-unit opportunities.
- Oversee the practical and secure use of data, automation, and AI to lift productivity, analytical quality, and client value.
- Represent RSC at client engagements, conferences, and industry forums, and collaborate across the business to deliver consistent outcomes for clients.

Required Expertise:

- 15+ years’ industry experience across exploration, production, and consulting, including at least 7 years in a P&L;, people-leadership,



and technical delivery role.
- MSc or higher in geology or a related discipline, with Competent Person or Qualified Person status for at least one commodity under JORC, NI 43-101, or an equivalent code, and membership in a recognised skilled body (AusIMM, AIG, or equivalent).
- Multi-commodity, multi-jurisdictional experience, with deep technical grounding in drilling, sampling, geophysics, mineral systems, and QA/QC.
- Proven commercial judgement with sound decision-making, negotiation, and stakeholder management at a senior level.
- Strong leadership credentials, with a track record of building, coaching, and developing high-performing technical teams.
- Exceptional technical writing, with the ability to translate complex geological findings for technical and non-technical audiences alike.
- Working knowledge of GIS, database, spreadsheet, and 3D modelling or estimation tools, and a practical understanding of AI applications in exploration and business operations.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally to RSC offices, client sites, and conferences.

This is a high-responsibility executive role for a leader who combines strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and technical credibility with a genuine industry passion.
