About the role:
We're looking for a hands-on Oracle HCM specialist to help shape the next phase of our People & Culture technology journey.
This is not a traditional support role. We're seeking someone who has successfully implemented and optimised Oracle HCM solutions, particularly HR Help Desk, Case Management, Knowledge Management and OTBI reporting, and can translate business needs into practical, scalable solutions.
Reporting into the P&C; System team, you will play a key role in delivering our Oracle optimisation roadmap, improving employee and manager experiences, and helping us maximise value from our Oracle investment.
Operational Support
- Work closely with Oracle, vendors and internal teams to resolve system issues and optimise platform capability
- Keeping abreast of Oracle Cloud product functionality and roadmap and raising Oracle Customer Connect Ideas to promote produce enhancements within the Oracle community
- Support with end-to-end testing of cyclical processes to support wider P&C; initiatives
- Monitoring approval workflows and integrations
- Maintaining a high level of job role security in line with QIC’s approach to segregation of duties
- Triage Level 2 functional queries, assess the impact of system changes, and raise Service Requests (SRs) for HCM-related issues, managing them through to resolution.
System Administration and Quality Assurance
- Maintaining non-production environments required for ongoing testing, development and bug fixes
- Configuration updates in Visual Builder Toolset or HCM Design Studio
- Assess,
explore and test current functionality against business requirements and partner with SMEs to determine uptake within existing processes.
- Maintain high standard of governance across configuration workbooks and other supporting documentation.
- Supporting quarterly release regression and new feature testing, including the configuration and validation of new functionality introduced through the quarterly release cycle
- Coordinate monthly patching with the third-party support vendor, ensuring regression test cases are executed and remain unaffected by bug fixes deployed across environments.
Optimisation
- Play a key role in the ongoing transformation, implementation and optimisation of Oracle HCM, including the Redwood transition, HR Help Desk and Case Management, Oracle Health Check remediation, and future modules adopted by QIC.
- Lead P&C; technology improvements as functional expert, proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes
- Maintain strong relationships with finance and technology to ensure a fully integrated solution
About You: We are looking for an experienced Oracle HCM professional with strong functional expertise, sound technical capability and a collaborative approach to partnering with the People & Culture team and corporate stakeholders at all levels.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- In-depth understanding and hands on experience of Oracle HCM Cloud capability or other HRIS platforms (5 + years)
- Strong OTBI reporting and dashboard development capability
- Experience configuring workflows, approvals and business processes
- End-to-end implementation experience, from requirements through to go-live
- Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- Advanced understanding of HR operational objectives and processes working with HR teams and shared services.
- Ability to define and document business processes/requirements and map them to system processes. Ability to write comprehensive test cases.
- Ability to provide inputs to change management impacts. Strong documentation and collaboration skill is essential.
- Well-developed understanding of HR specialists’ functions and cyclical programs (i.e., performance management, recruitment, compensation)
- Ability to collaborate and influence HR specialists to reach process optimisation and benefit realisation of the HCM
- Autonomous, process-driven, and disciplined
Highly desirable
- Oracle Case Management and Knowledge Management experience
- BI Publisher experience
- Oracle Redwood experience
- Exposure to AI-enabled Oracle capabilities and service optimisation
- Experience with AI Success Navigator tool
- Multi country implementation or support is desirable
