Hillbrook Anglican School
Enoggera
Hillbrook Anglican School is a co-educational secondary school in Enoggera, Brisbane, where we open minds, inspire hearts and nurture dreams. Guided by the motto 'In Balance We Grow', our community is defined by genuine care for young people, collegial staff culture, and a commitment to innovation in learning. We invite you to experience and contribute to the essence of Hillbrook.
About the role
Hillbrook's Outdoor Education program is compulsory for every student from Year 7 to Year 12 and is central to how we help young people build resilience, empathy and leadership. As Head of Outdoor Education, you will lead the strategic planning, development and delivery of the whole program, working closely with the School Leadership Team.
The program is mobile in nature, delivered across public and private land in South East Queensland, so the role holds program quality, student development and safety in equal measure. You will coordinate camps and activity days, integrate outdoor learning across year levels, and lead a team of teachers, instructors and support staff.
You will also carry a teaching load and take responsibility for risk management, budgeting and the care of equipment. Success looks like a well-sequenced program that grows each year, a team that is well trained and well supported, and safe, memorable experiences for every student.
