Warrikal is looking for an experienced Site HSE Advisor to join our team and support shutdown and maintenance projects across the mining and resources sector.

This is a hands-on, site-based role where you’ll be a visible presence across operations, working alongside frontline teams and operational leaders to drive safe and efficient project delivery.

Reporting to the Manager HSE, you’ll provide practical HSE advice, coaching and support across site operations. You’ll work closely with operational leaders, Corporate HSE, contractors and client representatives to manage risk, strengthen safety performance and ensure compliance with legislative, client and Warrikal requirements.

About You

- Provide hands-on HSE support across shutdown and maintenance projects.
- Be a visible safety leader, coaching and engaging with frontline teams and operational leaders.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, field observations, risk assessments and critical control verifications.
- Review JHAs, SWMS and task-based risk assessments and provide guidance on appropriate controls.
- Monitor compliance with WHS legislation, client requirements and Warrikal standards.
- Support incident investigations, identify contributing factors and assist with corrective actions.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety communications and HSE initiatives.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance, corrective actions and improvement opportunities.




- Build strong working relationships with operational teams, contractors and client stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across site HSE practices.

What you’ll bring

- 2-3+ years’ experience in a similar HSE Advisor role, with shutdown maintenance experience in mining, resources or heavy industry.

- Certificate IV in WHS/OHS or a related discipline, with a strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and incident investigation.
- Experience with critical risk management, critical control verification, JHAs, SWMS and task-based risk assessments.
- Experience supporting or conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced site environment.
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence, eligible to work in Australia and able to meet FIFO shutdown roster, medical, drug and alcohol testing, induction and mobilisation requirements.
