Lead the next era of safety, quality and operational excellence across one of Australia’s most recognised Remediation Companies.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the South East Health and Safety Manager and working closely with the NSW State Manager and Operations managers for the region, the HSEQ Lead will lead the development and execution of the States HSEQ strategy across multiple business units.

You will play a critical leadership role in strengthening governance, building capability, driving accountability, and embedding a culture where safety, quality and operational excellence are fundamental to how the business performs.

This role will suit someone who:

- Understands operational risk within Marine, Construction, Asset/Building Remediation, and Hazardous Coatings
- Knows how to balance strategic direction with practical field leadership

Key Responsibilities

- Drive critical risk management, verification and operational assurance activities
- Lead and mentor a team of HSE Advisors.
- Lead audit, incident investigation, corrective action and continuous improvement programs

- Engage with Project Managers, senior leadership, and clients on strategic HSEQ matters.
- Drive meaningful cultural improvement across safety, quality and operational performance
- Provide HSEQ leadership across tenders, project mobilisation and operational activities
- Build capability through coaching, mentoring, training and leadership development

About you You are an experienced HSEQ leader within the construction, remediation and marine sector.

You are commercially aware, operationally credible, and highly effective at influencing people at all levels of a business.





Most importantly, you are someone who leads from the front, builds trust quickly, and creates environments where people genuinely want to succeed safely and perform at their best.

You are energised by the opportunity to build, improve and influence - not simply maintain the status quo.

You bring:

- Leadership experience across safety, quality, environmental and risk functions
- Exposure to Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) certification system preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HSEQ legislation and compliance frameworks
- A collaborative leadership style focused on people, culture and continuous improvement
- The credibility and resilience to drive change within a quick-paced operational environment
- Experience in Tier 1, Multistorey CBD work, Fuel, concrete/steel remediation is highly regarded.
- Strong background in Risk Management and audit processes.
- Proven ability to identify trends and implement targeted improvement programs.
- Understanding of Quality Management systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
- Willingness to travel to regional areas in NSW as required.
