More About Your New Role
As a People & Performance Advisor located in Strathpine Brisbane, you will play a key role in supporting our National People & Performance function. Working as part of a cohesive and collaborative team, you will be involved in a variety of People initiatives, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in providing exceptional HR Coordination support, and wants to continue building their HR career. No two days will look the same.
If you are someone who enjoys being hands-on, delivering exceptional outcomes, and are ready to start building your capability in Advisory support, this is the perfect opportunity to grow, learn and make a genuine impact.
This is a true generalist role that spans across recruitment, employee lifecycle administration, HRIS management,
systematic reporting and our first point of contact for employee enquiries. You will act as a key support to our Business Partners and National People & Performance Manager in key activities including:
- Managing employee correspondence, from employment contracts through exit interviews and everything in between.
- First port of call for employee enquiries, supporting with queries on policy, systems, procedures and providing initial advice for ER / IR matters.
- Maintaining the HRIS system, you will be the owner of the Workday system and responsible for the integrity of the data kept within it.
- Supporting key recruitment activity, including posting advertisements, initial screening and coordinating interviews
- Involvement in supporting key employee & industrial relations, diversity, labour optimisation and cultural initiatives.
- Process owner of key employee cyclic events including the annual remuneration review process, engagement surveys, WGEA reporting, etc
- Delivering accurate and timely monthly reporting of our people success measures using excel, QLIK and PowerBI to support executive presentations and data driven decision making
- Ensuring a high level of compliance against all legislative requirements, including on time pay increases, visa expiry date management and pay rule compliance just to name a few.
More About You
- Experience in a previous Human Resources Coordinator or similar role
- Savvy with the numbers – you won’t be afraid of a v-look up or pivot table,
and appreciating the importance of analysing workforce data and turning information into meaningful insights using Excel, HR systems and other reporting tools like PowerBi .
- Comfortable balancing operational HR activities with advisory responsibilities, using sound judgement to support leaders and employees.
- Takes prompt action to achieve goals beyond what is required in a proactive manner, and supports the team to do the same.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
- Curious, proactive and eager to learn, with a genuine desire to broaden your experience across all facets of People & Performance.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience favourable.
