The Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our Humanities department within our middle and senior school. As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences that support students' academic growth, curiosity and personal development. This is a full-time, maximum-term appointment (1.0 FTE) for 2027.

Candidates with experience teaching Politics and VCE Humanities subjects are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities include

- Planning and delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE requirements
- Assessing student learning and providing timely, constructive feedback while maintaining accurate records of progress
- Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom workplace that encourages active participation and intellectual curiosity
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum and teaching programs across the Humanities faculty
- Contributing to the pastoral care and wellbeing of students
- Supporting Year 12 assessment and SAC processes

This role would suit an educator who values strong relationships,



enjoys working collaboratively and is passionate about helping students achieve their personal best.

About you

- Qualified teacher status in Humanities or relevant subject
- Proven experience teaching Humanities at the secondary level, with VCE teaching experience preferred
- Proven ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
- Strong knowledge of curriculum standards and assessment methods within Humanities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Passion for fostering a positive learning environment and promoting student success
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of educational best practices

All positions at Peninsula Grammar require:

- Current VIT
- First-Aid and CPR qualifications including accredited Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training
- Child Safety training (provided by the school upon commencement)
