Our client, a leading Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation, is seeking a skilled specialist in HR to deliver high-quality services across a growing organisation. You’ll provide expert ER/IR advice, lead investigations, guide policy, support leaders and maintain strong HR systems that uphold safety, compliance and workforce wellbeing.
You’ll join a collaborative, values-driven team with a strong focus on cultural respect, diversity and inclusive practice. This role has been elevated to meet the increasing complexity of workforce needs and ensure staff across all programs receive consistent, reliable and evidence-based HR support.
- Senior HR role partnering with CEO, Executive, Managers and business support teams
- Full time, permanent chance
- No direct reports
- Onsite in Southwest Sydney, travel across Greater Sydney and occasional interstate travel

This role will involve:
- Provide ER/IR advice and support to the CEO, Executive and Managers
- Lead HR investigations, disputes and complex employment matters
- Support recruitment, onboarding, probity and employment records
- Manage WHS, workers compensation and return-to-work processes
- Maintain HR systems, policies and procedures
- Oversee training, induction and staff capability processes
- Contribute to organisational development and People and Culture strategy
They are looking for candidates with:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources or related field
- 5 years’ experience in a HR generalist or specialist role within community services, health or a similarly complex environment
- Strong ER/IR capability including investigations and award interpretation
- High level communication, discretion and organisational skills
- Ability to work across multiple sites and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Commitment to culturally safe, inclusive and values-led practice
Additional Information
- As part of the interview process, shortlisted applicants will be asked to provide a sample of a previously prepared written report for discussion
- National Criminal Record Check, NSW WWCC and NSW Driver Licence required
- This is an on-site role, and staff are expected to maintain a strong in-person presence across all sites. Flexible start and finish times and needs-based working from home may apply.
