About the Role

You will be working across a mix of live Perth metro construction sites carrying out steel erection and pinning steel, putting up structural steel and locking it off safely and accurately as the build goes up. The work is genuinely varied, moving between projects rather than being stuck on the one site for the life of a job.

Working 10 hour days keeps the hours consistent, and with multiple projects on the go there is real continuity of work rather than the usual gaps between jobs. You will be working with experienced crews who know how to move fast and safely on a live steel erection site.

Your duties will include

- Steel erection and pinning steel on structural steel frames
- Rigging and dogging loads for crane lifts
- Working to lift plans and rigging study requirements
- Explicit communication with crane operators and dogman during lifts
- Working at heights safely using EWP and elevated work platforms
- Setting up and packing down rigging equipment
- Inspecting rigging gear and equipment prior to use




- Reading structural drawings and working to specification
- Maintaining a clean, safe work area at all times

What We Are Looking For

- Current Intermediate or Advanced Rigging ticket
- Dogging ticket
- EWP ticket highly regarded
- Proven experience in structural steel erection
- Strong understanding of rigging and lifting safety requirements
- Own PPE and reliable transport across Perth metro sites
- Reliable, adaptable and comfortable moving between projects
- Strong commitment to safe work practices at all times
