About the role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Inventory Controller for a 3-month leave cover position based in Adelaide. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, managing stock levels and purchase orders, coordinating deliveries and supporting effective procurement for the site.

Training and handover will commence immediately, with the 3-month leave cover commencing in October.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain accurate inventory records against physical stock.
- Manage purchase orders and goods receipts.
- Monitor forecasts, demand and stock levels.
- Coordinate deliveries with transport providers.
- Lead stocktakes and cycle counts.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies and adjustments.
- Manage stock transfers and rolling counts.
- Review mesh requirements and raise purchase orders.
- Track and reconcile production scrap.
- Identify supply issues and recommend solutions.

Our ideal candidate will have





- Previous experience in inventory control, supply chain, purchasing or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
- Robust analytical and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
- Confidence communicating across production, purchasing, suppliers and transport.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Experience in steel, manufacturing or construction supply environments is highly desirable.
