Indigeco is recruiting an Investigator for our ACT Government client based in Stirling. This contract will commence ASAP, pending a cleared Police Check, and is expected to run until 1 March 2027.

This role will support a regulatory investigations team within an education and care environment. You will be responsible for receiving, assessing and investigating notifications, complaints and concerns, while applying legislation, gathering evidence and preparing high-quality reports, statements and administrative documentation.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Receive, assess and investigate notifications, complaints and concerns within a regulatory framework
- Conduct investigations, registration reviews and compliance-related enquiries Gather, assess and document evidence in line with record management requirements

- Conduct witness interviews, take statements and prepare investigation correspondence
- Draft show cause notices, administrative decisions, reports, recommendations and related documentation
- Interpret and apply legislation, policies and regulatory frameworks to support sound decision-making




- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and procedural fairness

YOUR REQUIREMENTS

- - Certificate IV or Diploma in Investigations, supported by practical investigations experience
- Experience in investigations, compliance or regulatory work within a government environment
- Strong ability to interpret legislation and apply regulatory frameworks to complex matters
- Experience gathering evidence, conducting interviews, taking statements and preparing investigation records
- Strong written skills, including experience preparing reports, correspondence, decisions or statutory actions
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload, prioritise work and meet deadlines in a sensitive environment
- Current WWVP card, or ability to obtain one prior to commencement

YOUR PERKS

- Hourly payrate of $64.94 per hour + super
- Contract through to 1 March 2027
- Hybrid working arrangement, 3 days onsite and 2 days from home
- Stirling location, Hedley Beare Centre for Teaching and Learning
