Inventory Controller – Keep the Stock Moving - Keep the Business Moving

Hosepower is looking for an organised, proactive and detail-focused Inventory Controller to take ownership of inventory accuracy and stock availability across our operations.

This is a key role within the business. You'll help ensure our Sales, Warehouse, Workshop and Mobile Service teams have the right stock, in the right place, at the right time so we can continue delivering fast, dependable service to our customers.

A snapshot of the role:

- Maintain accurate inventory records across our Darwin and Katherine operations.
- Manage minimum/maximum stock levels to maintain availability while controlling overstock.
- Conduct cycle counts and stocktakes and investigate stock discrepancies.
- Manage stock receipts, adjustments and inter-branch transfers.
- Raise and manage purchase orders with approved suppliers.
- Monitor incoming orders, supplier lead times and backorders.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, deliveries and product substitutions.
- Proactively source urgent and non-stock items when required.
- Coordinate stock between Darwin, Katherine and Mobile Service Vehicles.
- Produce inventory reporting covering stock levels, slow-moving stock, shrinkage and reorder status.

What we are looking for:

- Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing or supply chain – minimum 2 years preferred.




- Experience using an ERP or inventory management system essential.
- Competent excel skills with knowledge of formulas and pivot tables.
- MYOB Advanced / Acumatica experience is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on inventory and data accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Experience in hose, fittings, hydraulics, or an industrial/trade environment advantageous.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across multiple departments.
- Confident, practical written and verbal communication skills.
- Current C Class Driver Licence.
- Forklift licence desirable.
- Good PC and mobile device skills.
