About the Team
Our IT team is a tight-knit and friendly group providing high-quality IT support nationally. The IT Systems Administrator reports to the IT Manager.
About the Role
We are seeking a Systems Administrator to provide support and day-to-day administration across the firm’s legal applications, Microsoft 365 environment, endpoints and network services. The Systems Administrator will resolve escalated incidents, complete routine administration, support upgrades and system changes, and help maintain a secure and reliable technology environment.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- administering and troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Intune;
- providing escalated 2nd level support for Aderant, iManage Work and other legal and business applications and liaising external vendors for escalated 3rd level support;
- managing routine user lifecycle tasks, licences, groups, permissions, shared mailboxes, multifactor authentication and application access;
- administering vulnerability management and patching processes across servers, endpoints and cloud services, leveraging Microsoft Defender to identify risks, prioritise remediation, and implement secure hardening standards;
- troubleshooting Cisco Meraki networks, Wi‑Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, internet connectivity and remote-access issues;
- supporting Mimecast, KnowBe4, Exclaimer, Keeper, Cloudflare and related security and business platforms;
- investigate Microsoft Office and legal application integrations, particularly Outlook, Word,
iManage and PDF workflows;
- working with SOC and ROC teams, monitor and act on system alerts, maintain technical documentation and liaise with vendors to resolve escalated issues;
- supporting the firm’s information security and compliance obligations including ISO 27001 aligned controls, access reviews, asset records, incident management, change control, vulnerability remediation and audit evidence; and
- working alongside the national IT team to support them day-to-day.
We are open to candidates located in Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney.
About you
We’re looking for someone who brings both technical capability and a genuine commitment to exceptional service.
Your skills and experience will include:
- at least 5 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator or senior IT support professional, preferably within legal or professional services;
- solid administrative experience across Microsoft 365; Entra ID, Exchange Online and Intune/MDM, Purview;
- knowledge of Windows endpoints, permissions, software deployment and device compliance;
- working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi and VPN technologies;
- strong communication, documentation and customer service skills;
- understanding of cyber security, confidentiality and compliance controls;
- exposure to Rapid7, Cisco Meraki, Mimecast, NinjaOne, KnowBe4, Exclaimer, Keeper, Cloudflare, or similar technology.
- experience supporting Aderant and/or iManage (desirable); and
- relevant Microsoft, ITIL, Cisco/Meraki or security certifications (desirable).
