About This Opportunity

Brigidine College is seeking an experienced and passionate educational leader to join our community as Junior School Program Leader.

Reporting to the Principal through the Deputy Principal and Dean of Learning, the Junior School Program Leader provides strategic leadership for learning, teaching and assessment across the Junior School (Years 5 & 6). Working collaboratively with staff, students and families, the successful candidate will champion educational excellence, foster a culture of continuous improvement, inspire high-quality teaching practice and support outstanding learning and wellbeing outcomes for every student.

As a key member of the College's Middle Leadership Team, the Junior School Program Leader will help shape the vision and future direction of the Junior School while contributing to whole-school strategic initiatives within a dynamic and values-driven learning community.

- Commencing Term 1, 2027 (19 January 2027)
- Permanent teaching position with an initial four-year leadership appointment, with the opportunity for reappointment subject to successful performance review

About You The ideal candidate displays a passion for teaching and leading Year 5 and 6 students.



With an engaging communication style and a positive attitude, you will have demonstrated ability to build rapport and interact effectively with students, staff and the wider community.

The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate:

- Commitment to support and promote the philosophy, ethos, traditions and spiritual values of a Catholic school in the Brigidine tradition.
- Capacity to lead evidence-informed teaching, learning and assessment.
- Effective use of student data to improve literacy, numeracy and broader learning outcomes.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff capability to support continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Experience leading improvement and organisational change.
- High-level communication, collaboration, consultation, negotiation and organisational skills.
- Ongoing commitment to qualified growth.
- Experience with Religious Education programs desirable.
