About the role To lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen with a focus on consistency, efficiency, and profitability. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining systems, supporting and developing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and compliance standards are met, and managing ordering and prep to align with budget targets.

The Kitchen

Manager plays a vital role in fostering a calm, collaborative team environment and ensuring smooth service across all trading days.

Key responsibilities

- Lead Kitchen Operations and drive consistency by providing daily leadership and guidance to kitchen team
- Implement and uphold all kitchen systems and procedures (cleaning, prep, safety, communication)
- Coordinate with GM and FOH to ensure smooth daily service
- Oversee fridge logs, prep lists, cleaning checklists, and ensure all compliance tasks are completed daily
- Use Deputy to create fortnightly staff rosters and manage availability
- Ensure consistency in all dishes and presentation
- Support and mentor team members through training and check-ins
- Communicate clearly through Slack and be the link between kitchen team and GM
- Track prep task completion, temperature logs, and wastage entries weekly




- Work within a weekly kitchen budget provided by the GM and track all kitchen ordering
- Monitor and reduce food waste where possible and ensure par levels are reviewed and updated seasonally
