Our business is going through an exciting growth period and we’re on the hunt for an experienced Technician to join the team.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Lead Polymer Processing Technician to take ownership of our moulding processes and provide technical leadership across the production team.

You’ll be responsible for

- Setting up, optimising and documenting injection moulding processes
- Troubleshooting complex moulding and production issues
- Improving cycle times, quality, scrap and process stability
- Supporting mould, material and new product trials
- Monitoring and maintaining moulding machinery, moulds, robots and auxiliary equipment, identifying maintenance requirements before they impact production
- Providing technical guidance, training and support to setters and operators
- Supporting automation, tooling and continuous improvement projects
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and production performance,



working closely with Quality and Production to investigate defects, identify root causes and implement corrective actions

Requirements / Experience Needed:

- Previous experience as a Lead Technician, Senior Process Technician or Injection Moulding Supervisor, with solid hands-on experience with injection moulding
- Experience with engineering and filled polymers, along with a good understanding of moulding, material handling and auxiliary equipment
- Experience with mould changes and process setup, with an ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and performance
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand quality requirements
- Strong communication, problem-solving and leadership skills
- Desirable: Plastics/polymer qualifications, robotics or automation experience, scientific moulding knowledge and experience with materials such as PA6/PA66, PC, TPU, POM, PP or recycled polymers
