About you

We are looking for a proactive, highly organised and adaptable Legal Assistant who enjoys taking ownership and keeping things moving.

This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety and is comfortable supporting multiple partners with different working styles. You will be a natural relationship builder with strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through and the ability to juggle competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work.

To be successful and thrive in this role you will have the following skills

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- The ability to adapt to different working styles and support multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Experience coordinating projects, events, seminars or business development activities will be highly regarded

Your role

Supporting multiple partners, this role would suit a well-rounded Legal Assistant who enjoys variety and takes pride in keeping people, priorities and deadlines on track. You will manage a broad mix of legal administration, billing, matter coordination, business development and event support.

This role is part of a fun, growing and fast-paced team. You will work closely with the Brisbane team while also being part of a supportive national network of legal assistants who collaborate and share knowledge across our offices.

Your responsibilities will include

- Attending client meetings, taking minutes and preparing file notes
- Diary and inbox management
- Opening and maintaining matter files
- Preparing correspondence, legal documents and court filings
- Assisting with monthly billing, invoicing and disbursement administration




- Monitoring work-in-progress and supporting matter budget tracking
- Coordinating partner and team meetings, including preparing agendas and tracking action items
- Monitoring key deadlines and following up on outstanding actions to ensure work remains on track
- Supporting business development initiatives, networking opportunities and client relationship activities
- Coordinating client events, seminars, training sessions and workshops, including invitations, registrations, room bookings and catering
- Assisting with tenders, proposals and related documentation
- Preparing document bundles, briefs and presentation materials
- Liaising with clients, barristers, experts and other stakeholders
- Managing travel arrangements and itineraries
- Maintaining electronic and physical records and filing systems
- Other general administrative duties and support as required

This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, confidence in dealing with clients and stakeholders, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a professional and organised manner.
