Billion dollar international company is seeking a Front End construction lawyer for their in-house team to work on large construction and infrastructure projects.

About the Position

Our client is seeking a front-end construction or projects lawyer to work on major construction projects for their in-house legal team. In the role, you will report to a very experienced General Counsel who is friendly and a excellent mentor.

You will work on the full lifecycle of the projects from cradle to grave and also ongoing operational support. You will work on projects that are rewarding with the knowledge you are making a real positive impact in the daily lives of millions of Australians.

About You





You are a front-end construction or projects lawyer with good commercial acumen and strong experience in drafting and reviewing a variety of construction contracts. You have great people relationship skills and can work in a fast paced environment. You do

Duties In the role, you will:

- Review and negotiate Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts.
- Review and negotiate Design Build (DB) Contracts, Operation & Management (O&M;) Contracts.
- Review and negotiate contracts for tenders, JV Agreements and key subcontracts.
- Advise on tenders and contracts for PPP’s and Alliances.
- Review other commercial agreements.
- Manage external counsel and develop relationships with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

We are seeking someone with:

- 5-9 years of post-admission experience gained working in-house or in a top-tier, international or mid-tier firm.
- Unrestricted practicing certificate.
- Experience in front-end construction, infrastructure and/or major projects.
- Prior in-house or secondment experience is desirable but not required.
- Good commercial acumen.
