An opportunity to join a fast-growing Australian eCommerce business with a strong focus on delivering in-demand products at competitive prices. The business is seeking a commercially minded Junior Category Manager to take ownership of assigned product categories and drive range, sales and profitability.

The Role

n

Working closely with Purchasing, Marketing, Logistics and Finance, you will take ownership of assigned categories across the full product lifecycle.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Manage and develop assigned product categories and ranges
n
- Identify new product and range expansion opportunities
n
- Source products and manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
n
- Negotiate pricing, trading terms and supplier agreements
n
- Monitor sales, margins, inventory levels and overall category performance
n
- Conduct competitor, pricing and market analysis
n
- Manage open orders, stock availability and product demand
n
- Support pricing, promotional activity and product launches
n




- Work closely with Marketing to optimise product listings and promotions
n
- Analyse costs including freight, warehousing and other factors impacting profitability
n

Your Background

n

n
- Experience within Category Management, Buying, Merchandise or a similar commercial role
n
- Experience within eCommerce, Retail or FMCG environments highly regarded
n
- Exposure to managing or supporting a product range/category
n
- Solid commercial acumen with an understanding of pricing, margins and profitability
n
- Confident working with suppliers and negotiating commercial outcomes
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
n
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables
n
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
n
