Redpath is partnered with a leading Tier 2 head contractor that is currently a dominant player in the Australian data centre construction market.

They are seeking a high-calibre Senior Services Engineer to join their team delivering a major data centre project in Sydney.

n

This is an opportunity to work on a high-value, technically complex mission-critical project, taking a senior role in coordinating the building services package alongside the Project Manager, Services Manager, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and client.

n

The ideal candidate will have strong building services experience, with a proven track record coordinating complex services packages within a live construction environment.

About the Role

n

As Senior Services Engineer, you will be responsible for:

n

n
- Lead the coordination and delivery of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire and specialist services across the project.
n
- Manage services design development, consultant coordination, design reviews, shop drawings, RFIs, technical submissions and design changes.
n
- Review designs for constructability, coordination, compliance and value engineering, working across architectural, structural and services interfaces.
n
- Manage services subcontractors, consultants and suppliers to deliver works in line with program, quality and project requirements.
n
- Oversee procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover of services packages.
n




- Identify and resolve technical issues, design clashes and interface risks throughout construction.
n
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with approved documentation, NCC, Australian Standards and project specifications.
n
- Work closely with the Project and Commercial teams on cost, variations, procurement and subcontractor performance.
n
- Support and mentor junior engineers while contributing to a high-performing project team.

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- 8+ years' construction experience in a Services Engineer, Senior Services Engineer or similar role, with a relevant engineering or construction qualification.
n
- Proven experience delivering large-scale commercial, mission-critical or data centre projects, with strong exposure to complex building services.
n
- Strong technical capability across services design, design coordination and constructability, including mechanical and electrical services and interfaces with hydraulic, fire and specialist systems.
n
- Proven experience managing design development, consultant coordination, shop drawings, RFIs, technical submissions, commissioning and services delivery from design through to completion.
n
- Solid understanding of services installation, testing and commissioning, NCC, Australian Standards and relevant compliance requirements, with excellent stakeholder and subcontractor management skills.
