About Remax Doors

Remax Doors is one of Australia's leading manufacturers and service providers of industrial and commercial door and access systems. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Victoria, we design and manufacture our own products locally — from high-speed rapid roller doors and sectional doors to a full suite of loading dock solutions — serving clients across warehousing, logistics, food and beverage, cold storage, automotive, and healthcare.

Our Victorian operations are expanding and we're looking for an experienced loading dock technician to join our field service team, based out of Rowville in Melbourne's south-east.

The Role

This is a hands-on field role covering the greater Melbourne metropolitan area and surrounding regions. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and ongoing service of loading dock systems and industrial door solutions across a broad range of commercial and industrial sites — including distribution centres, warehouses, logistics hubs, cold storage facilities, and food processing plants.

Loading dock experience is mandatory for this role. You will need to bring proven hands-on capability across dock levellers, dock shelters, dock doors, and associated dock equipment. Experience with industrial door systems is highly regarded and will be an advantage in this role.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

Demonstrated hands-on experience with loading dock systems — including dock levellers, dock shelters, dock seals, and dock doors — is a non-negotiable requirement for this position. Applications without this experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Installation and commissioning of loading dock systems — dock levellers (hydraulic and mechanical), dock shelters, dock seals, dock bumpers, and vehicle restraints
- Servicing, fault diagnosis, breakdown response, and repair of loading dock equipment across commercial and industrial sites
- Installation and servicing of industrial door systems including sectional dock doors, rapid roller doors, and associated automation




- Planned preventative maintenance across an allocated site portfolio
- Professional communication with facility managers, warehouse operations teams, and site contacts
- Accurate completion of service records, job sheets, and safety and compliance documentation
- Maintaining the company vehicle, tools, and equipment to a high standard

What We're Looking For

Essential (mandatory):

- Proven hands-on experience with loading dock equipment — dock levellers, dock shelters, dock seals, dock doors, and vehicle restraints
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and hydraulic faults in dock systems independently on site
- Current driver's licence

White Card (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)

Highly regarded:

- Experience with industrial door systems — sectional doors, rapid roller doors, or automated access systems
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems and basic electrical troubleshooting
- Trade background in a relevant field (mechanical, electrical, or similar)
- A self-starter who manages their own schedule in the field and takes pride in the quality of their work
- Robust communication and customer-facing skills — professional, reliable, and safety-conscious at all times
