Position Overview The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property, guest apartments, equipment, and facilities in a safe, functional, and presentable condition. The role ensures prompt resolution of maintenance issues and supports a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance across guest apartments, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Respond promptly to guest and operational maintenance requests.
- Carry out general repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, air-conditioning, carpentry, painting, fixtures, fittings, and appliances, within the scope of relevant qualifications and licences.
- Identify and report faults, safety hazards, and equipment issues.
- Coordinate with approved contractors and assist with maintenance projects as required.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
- Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements and relevant regulations.
- Maintain maintenance tools, supplies, and spare parts responsibly.




- Communicate professionally with guests and colleagues, ensuring work areas are left clean and safe.

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in hotel, serviced apartment, facilities, or building maintenance is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of general maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving, organisational, and time-management skills.
- Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Relevant trade qualification or technical certification is desirable.
- Appropriate licences are required for regulated work.

Pay: $38.00 – $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
