We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Trades Assistant to join our client’s manufacturing plant. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong workshop background who enjoys hands-on work and supporting maintenance and production teams.

The successful candidate will be reliable, mechanically minded and confident using a range of hand and power tools.

About the Role

You will be responsible for assisting the maintenance team and tradespeople with general workshop and manufacturing support, including:

- Assisting qualified tradespeople with maintenance and repair tasks
- Using a variety of hand and power tools
- General workshop duties and housekeeping
- Providing mechanical and electrical support within the factory
- Assisting with maintenance and production tasks as required
- Working safely and following all workplace procedures
- Identifying and assisting with solutions to day-to-day maintenance challenges
- Working both independently and as part of a team
- Maintaining a high level of attention to detail

About You To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Previous workshop experience




- Welding knowledge or hands-on welding experience – mandatory
- Experience assisting tradespeople or maintenance teams
- Mechanical and/or electrical factory support experience
- Strong knowledge of safe work practices
- Current Forklift Licence – essential
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Ability to use hand and power tools confidently
- Strong work ethic and a proactive approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Willingness to learn and embrace new ideas
- Ability to assist maintenance and production as directed

What’s on Offer?

- $36.00 per hour
- 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Thursday
- 6:00am – 2:00pm Friday

- Stable manufacturing workplace
- Some on-call or weekend work may be required, however this is extremely infrequent
- Immediate opportunity for the right candidate
