Your new role We're seeking a technically strong accounting leader to manage funding, financial assets and treasury operations across Uniting. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll lead a team of accountants while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, accurate revenue recognition and robust financial reporting. You'll play a critical role in managing cash flow, investments and debt covenant compliance, providing expert advice to stakeholders and supporting strategic financial decision-making across the organisation.
Your Impact Will Include
- Leading revenue recognition in line with accounting standards.
- Overseeing treasury management, cash flow forecasting and investments.
- Managing financial asset reporting, valuations and classifications.
- Driving continuous improvement, process efficiency and stronger controls.
- Acting as 2IC to the Financial Controller and leading a team of three accountants.
Based at our Lonsdale Street office in Melbourne's CBD, this ongoing full-time role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement with 2 days per week in the office. Our Finance & Procurement team plays a critical role in supporting sustainable service delivery across the organisation. As Manager Funding & Financial Assets, you'll help ensure solid financial stewardship while supporting services that create meaningful community impact.
Working closely with senior finance leaders and key stakeholders, you'll contribute to a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement across the finance function

Your Skills And Experience We're looking for an experienced accounting professional with strong technical expertise in revenue recognition, treasury management and financial reporting. You Will Bring With You
- CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Demonstrated experience applying revenue recognition standards.
- Strong treasury, cash flow forecasting and investment management experience.
- Experience managing debt covenant compliance and statutory reporting.
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on continuous improvement and team development.
