- Manage social housing, rooming house and SDA programs, including complex tenancy matters and service delivery.

About the Opportunity

This is a newly created leadership role with responsibility for a diverse housing portfolio spanning social housing, rooming houses and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).

Reporting to the Deputy Director, Disability &

- Social Services and as a member of the Social Services Leadership Team, you will:

- Lead a high-performing housing team delivering quality tenancy and housing services.
- Oversee complex tenancy, compliance and property management matters.
- Build strategic relationships with community housing providers, government and philanthropic organisations.
- Identify opportunities to expand housing pathways and strengthen housing outcomes for vulnerable community members.
- Contribute to organisational strategy and the future direction of housing services at Jewish Care.

About You

·

- Leadership experience in homelessness, social/community housing or public housing including managing complex client, tenancy and stakeholder issues.

·
- Sound knowledge of tenancy management, housing legislation and regulatory compliance.

·




- Strong people leadership skills with a track record in supporting teams to achieve successful outcomes.

·
- An ability to build productive partnerships and influence outcomes across multiple stakeholders.

·
- Strong financial, program management and strategic planning skills.

·
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.

Essential

·

- Degree qualification in social services including social work, community development or related field OR demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service and study/development

·
- Knowledge of Victorian housing legislation and tenancy management

·

Experience in program, budget and people management

Desirable

·

- Knowledge of NDIS Quality and Safeguarding standards as they pertain to SDAs

·
- Knowledge of Victorian and Commonwealth housing policy and funding frameworks.

·

Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities
